Compassionate, confidential counselling to support your mental health and wellbeing.
At Wander Counselling Services, we believe that life isn’t meant to be a straight path. There are twists, pauses, detours, and moments where we feel lost or unsure of where to go next - and that’s okay.
Counselling offers a supportive space to slow down, reflect, and gently explore what’s going on for you. Whether you’re navigating a difficult season, feeling overwhelmed, or wanting to understand yourself better, we’re here to walk alongside you.
You don’t need to have all the answers. You don’t need to be in crisis. You just need to be willing to take the next small step.

At Wander Counselling Service, our mission is to walk alongside individuals with compassion and curiosity, providing a supportive space for reflection, growth, and meaningful change.
We aim to make counselling accessible, human, and grounded in respect - meeting people where they are, without judgement or pressure.

We work with adults, young people, and children from all walks of life. People come to us for many different reasons - some with a clear concern they want to work on, and others with a general sense that something isn’t quite right.
No concern is too big or too small to bring into the room.

We offer a calm, compassionate, and non-judgemental environment where you can show up exactly as you are. Our counsellors work collaboratively with you, honouring your lived experience, strengths, and goals.
We understand that seeking support can feel daunting, so we prioritise creating a space that feels:
Counselling isn’t about being “fixed” - it’s about understanding, growth, and learning new ways to care for yourself.
Support for ongoing worry, panic, social anxiety, performance anxiety, or feeling constantly on edge. Counselling can help you develop coping strategies, understand triggers, and feel more grounded in daily life.
Exploring feelings of sadness, emptiness, numbness, loss of motivation, or hopelessness. We work with you to understand what’s contributing to these feelings and support you toward reconnection and meaning.
Compassionate support through loss of a loved one, miscarriage, separation, health changes, or other significant losses. Grief looks different for everyone, and we honour your individual experience.
Support through major changes such as career shifts, moving, becoming a parent, relationship changes, identity exploration, or adjusting to new stages of life.
Support for processing difficult or distressing experiences at a pace that feels safe for you. We work gently and respectfully, prioritising emotional safety and choice.
Learning practical tools to manage strong emotions such as anger, overwhelm, guilt, or shame, and developing healthier ways to cope with life’s challenges.

Starting counselling can feel like a big step, especially if you've never done it before. It's completely normal to feel unsure, nervous, or to wonder what you're "meant" to say.
There's no right or wrong way to begin. You don't need to have everything figured out, and you're not expected to share more than you're comfortable with. Your counsellor will guide the process, meet you where you are, and move at a pace that feels safe for you.
Counselling is a collaborative and supportive space - one where your experiences are respected, your feelings are valid, and your wellbeing is the priority. Taking this step is an act of care for yourself, and you don't have to do it alone.

Starting counselling can feel unfamiliar, so we aim to make the process as transparent and comfortable as possible.
Initial Sessions
Your first sessions are an opportunity to get to know your counsellor, share what’s brought you to counselling, and discuss your goals. There’s no pressure to share everything at once - we move at a pace that feels safe for you.
Ongoing Counselling
Counselling sessions provide a confidential space to explore thoughts, emotions, patterns, and experiences. Your counsellor may offer reflections, ask gentle questions, or introduce strategies to support insight and coping.
A Collaborative Process
Counselling is not about being told what to do. We work alongside you, drawing on your strengths and values, and adjusting the approach as your needs change.
A Safe and Supportive Space
You are always in control of what you choose to share. Our priority is your emotional safety and wellbeing.
If you are in crisis or at immediate risk, please contact emergency services or a 24/7 crisis helpline. Wander Counselling Service is not a crisis or emergency service.
